The variation for a yard where one swing is enough and the other end wants something to hang from. Two cast aluminum corners, four hangers with sealed bearings, one EVA seat on sixty-six inch chain, and a trapeze bar with two rings on forty-seven inch chains. The five timbers are yours.

One seat, one trapeze

The second pair of hangers carries a bar with two rings instead of a seat. Children who are done with sitting down tend to find the bar first, and it uses the frame you already built.

One-piece cast corners

The brackets come out of a single mold with no joint and no soldered seam. Painted over the aluminum, they take rain and sprinkler spray without opening up at an angle.

Chain that does not pinch

The seat hangs on sixty-six inch zinc plated chain with thirty inches sleeved in thermoplastic. The trapeze rings run on forty-seven inch chains with twenty-five inches covered where hands grip.

Bearings in all four hangers

Every hanger in the box holds a sealed bearing, the seat end and the bar end alike. A trapeze gets twisted far more than a seat does, which is exactly where an open hook starts to squeal.

Match the lumber to the sleeve

Buy straight dry timber in the size the pockets expect and slide it in. Driving an oversized post home with a hammer is the one thing that cracks a casting.
