Back off the beam
We do not hold the money, so we cannot send it back. Here is who can.
Where a return starts
In the order at our retail partner. Their return window and their conditions apply, they are printed on the listing before you buy, and they are the terms you agreed to at checkout. Money goes back the way it came, through the same account that took it.
Why not through us
Because we never had the payment. This site lists what we make and points at where it is sold. Sending hardware to the workshop would put it outside the order it belongs to, and nobody would be able to close the case. Keep it inside the order.
If the casting itself is wrong
That one we do want to hear about. A pocket that will not take dressed lumber, a bearing that arrives rough, a thread that strips on the first turn: write to us with the order still open at the partner. Start the return there so your money is not hanging on our reply, then tell us what happened. Casting faults come back to the pattern, and we would rather find that on your bench than on the next batch.
What we will not do
- Ask you to post hardware to the workshop instead of returning it through the order.
- Promise a window longer than the one on the listing, which is not ours to extend.
- Take a payment dispute out of the partner account where the record lives.
