We cast these from aluminum alloy and press a sealed bearing into each loop, so the swing turns on steel balls instead of wearing a groove into a bolt. Tape the paper template flat against the underside of the beam, drill the pilot holes, drive the lag screws up, and hook the chain on. The blue coat stays blue through a wet spring.
Sealed bearing core
Metal grinding on metal starts to squeak by midsummer. We press a sealed bearing into the loop of each hanger so the swing turns on balls instead of dragging, and the motion stays quiet through wet springs and dry Augusts.
Blue alloy casting
Bare steel streaks rust down a timber post the first wet season. We cast the body from an aluminum alloy that takes weather without pitting, under a blue coat that sits quietly against yard lumber.
Screws and template included
Each hanger comes with its own lag screw, a washer, and an oval hook, plus a paper sticker that marks the hole spacing. Tape it flat to the underside of the beam before the drill comes out and the pilot holes land straight.
Not only swings
The same loop takes a punching bag, a hanging cradle, or a yoga strap off a garage joist or a porch header. Anything that hangs and moves wants a bearing rather than a bent hook through the wood.
