The listing states over 5,000 lb. That is a figure for the casting on a test rig, not for your beam: where the numbers come from.

We cast these from aluminum alloy and press a sealed bearing into the center so the loop turns without squeaking against the wood. Stick the paper guide against the bottom of the beam, drill your pilot holes, and drive the lag screws up through the bracket. The black coat keeps the metal looking quiet under the header.

Sealed center bearing

The loop pivots on a sealed bearing rather than grinding bare metal into a bolt. It swings without the dry squeak that wakes the house, and rain stays out of the moving parts.

Drilling guide included

Line up the template sticker against the underside of the beam before you lift the drill. The hole spacing matches the casting so the lag screws go in straight on the first pass.

Cast aluminum body

We cast the main body from aluminum alloy to handle weather out on the yard frame. It will not develop rust streaks down your timber posts after a wet spring.

Hardware in the box

Each hanger includes its own lag screw, washer, and oval hook for hanging. You supply the ladder, the drill bit for the pilot hole, and a wrench to seat the bolts.
